Keep that Monkey off your Back! Patients are Real Winners in a Nurse Education Competition

The Women’s Surgical Unit at Mission Hospital, Asheville, North Carolina, recently won an educational challenge among five nursing units. The Inpatient Diabetes Department established a creative and interactive education platform to enhance nurses’ knowledge of subcutaneous insulin therapy. The pilot initiative was called “Diabetes and Insulin: Keep that monkey off your back!”
